This long-time pandemic expert lays out what happened in previous pandemics and the critical need for governments and citizens to be prepared. If unprepared, there is likely too little time to get things done in time to save lives. This book helped me mentally prepare for the Chinese corona virus in the U.S. and worldwide.

This book surprised me…it weaves in not only a digestible explanation of the key concepts of viral behavior and the mechanisms that allow it to spread and mutate, but it does so in a very clear and understandable way. Great read, very informative.
